I have also recently added Vintage Art of the Day and National Geographic Picture of the Day. Vintage beacause they are just cool, and National Geographic because it shows all of the places I will go someday. Because I can't wait to travel all around the world. Restless, that's the word. New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Seattle, San Diego, New York (did I say that one already? Well it was for emphasise). Someday that's where I'll be! Maybe in a different country. I would love to be a missionary in Africa and a wildlife photographer at the same time. Or a marine biologist. What do you guys want to be? Comment on it!
See ya,
megs

Andy Warhol Art of the Day

Andy Warhol has some really cool artwork, and when I found the Art of the Day thing, I had to add it. And why not give my blog-readers some culture while they peruse the pages of my life? So comment on your favorites complaints, or suggestions. Thank you for shopping at Target. Oh that reminds me!! Guess where I'm going for spring break?? CHICAGO! I'm so excited. I'm going with my mom, and we will shop shop shop! I want to go to the Magnificent Mile, Oak Street, and Wicker Park-Bucktown. Lincoln Park Zoo, going to a show (Legally Blonde), the Feild Museum, Shedd Aquarium (this one is a must-see, they just renovated), the Art Institute of Chicago, and the subway (I love them!!!!!!) are all things that I can't wait to see in Chicago. I'm so pumped! We know a lot of people that live down there, so maybe we will see them too. I can not wait to leave this boring town for a big city. I'm definately a city girl at heart. Though I do love the country as well, it's just that where I currently live is neither. It's boring boring boring.

BOYS ARE STUPID

So tonight my brother had a few friends over. Idiots. One of them is completely perverted and strangely girl-like. Lol. He thnks he "knows more then we do". He LOVES girls. His other friend kinda hates me. But I gave all of them hugs, much to their dismay. Thet are completely and utterly PERVERTED. Everything is gross when translated into Fifth Grade Boy Language. Well, pretty much General Boy Language hehe. More Later, Megan.

Bored

Lauren says hi. Lol. One of my BFFs got a boyfriend today and we are all excited. I'm too tired to write an extensive entry today, so I'll make it breif.
Swimming sucks butt. Mr.Cloth tells me to keep my arms "parallel to the water", but I don't even know what that means!! I'm good at ghe front crawl, but one it comes to breast stroke and kick flip, I'm done. I hate having my hair wet for the rest of the day. I can't wair for running! (Wow, did I just say that??)
I'm so excited for the Twilight Ball!!!! I'm going dress shopping with a few of my girlies, then we're having a sleepover, and watching Twilight! I will most likely be buying my dress from Forever 21, the only place with fresses suitable for small people above the age of 5. I don't really want to go with a boy, maybe just as a friend. There's too many complications involved with that. I'm just gonna go party with my friends! And the ball's even at a place!! Cool, huh? It's all fancy! Can't you tell? I'm seriously pumped! I mean, it's the only dance of the year for effies! Later, I will put pics up of some dress options, and you an tell me which one is the best.
Time for homework! Can't wait for AI tonight!
Oh shoot I forgotr to do a review! Here's my prediction:I thnk that Megan Corkery will be the top vote getting girl, Matt Giraud will be the boy, and Allison Iraheta will be the next top vote getting person. We shall see!
With Lots of Love,
Megan
P.S. I don't mind spendin' every day out on your corner in the pourin' rain. Look for the girl with the broken smile. Ask her if she wants to stay a while. And she will be loved. And she will be loved!!

Random Like Chowder

Ok so my kid brother watches this RETARDED cartoon called Chowder on Cartoon Network. I HATE CHOWDER. I'm thinking of starting a club, but you can only join if you also HATE Fairly Odd Parents and Drama Island. We can call it the CPACFOPDI (cool people against chowder, fairly odd parents, and drama island). Haha. Let's make posters.
So I've been really into finding music that's not on Kiss these days (shocker i know). My favorite so far is a song that a really cool chick (hehe you know who you are) introduced to me. It's the acoustic cover of Hey Ya by Matt Weddle of Obadiah Parker. It's really beautiful, because the lyrics are really meaningful. My favorite is "Nothing lasts forever. Then what makes love the exception?" Here's a list of some other cool songs:
1.The Diary of Jane by Breaking Benjamin
2.Her Morning Elegance by Oren Lavie
3.Supermassive Black Hole by Muse (my favorite lyric is "I thought I was a fool for no one, but oh baby I'm a fool for you.")
4.Girls Don't Like Boys by Good Charlotte (LOVE THIS SONG)
5.It Was You by Emma Deigman
6.Acoustic remix of Drive by Incubus
7. ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING PARAMORE
This is my list so far. Listen to these songs and comment on your favorites/least favorites. And yes I do realize that both Paramore (eep!) and Good Charlotte are both well-known, they do fit in the catagory of "not on Kiss that much". So to all you haters, get over it! Lol jk. Ok I got this from somebody's pro on AIM:I'm not all that and a bag of chips. I'm all that and a bag of skittles. So taste my rainbow, sucka! Lol. I also like this one: I'm not all that and a bag of chips. Cuz honey, I'm the whole party mix! Haha. Currently my favorite calming song is Stand By You. It;s Christian, and here's the chorus:
Cuz i'll be by your side wherever you fall
In the dead of night, whenever you call
And please don't fight these hands that are holding you
My hands are holding you
Whenever I'm stressing, I always think of this song. Anyway I warned you guys that this blog would be random! Lol. I've been really inspired by lyrics lately, even in pop songs. Tomarrow I may give you a list of them. Lucky you! Hehe.

P.S. Fortune Cookie of the Day: Telling someone how you feel about them goes a whole lot farther than you think. Thank you for shopping at Walmart.
P.S.S. Quote of the Day: "What's Walmart? Do they, like, sell walls there?" -Paris Hilton (that's hot, Paris)

CIY Believe: Be There or Be Square

Yo. I got back last night from CIY, and it was so awesome! It was super fun, even though Gabby and Heather didn't come *cry*. Lol. For those of you who don't know, CIY stands for Christ in Youth, and it's this Jr.High Christian convention thing. There's also one for highschoolers. On Friday after school, my mom picked me up and we went to The Gap Outlet. I got these awesome teal jeans, an orange sweater, reg jeans, and a cream color shirt. Overall, a good experience. Then my mom dropped me off in the church parking lot, where I waited for a few minutes with Morgan, Serena, Jessica, ect. Once everyone had arrived, we took the longest freaking way possible to the Wendy's around NKU, because we were to late to check into the hotel (the Brawbridge Inn). I got four chicken nuggets lol. NKU, the location of CIY, was the next stop. The first session was really cool, and so was the second. There was a cool stunt guy named Brent. He did flips off of stairs and platforms and things like that. He had a video that was like a metaphor to God creating us, and one the "drones" were chasing him, they would stop the video and they would chase him around the arena while he was doing flips and stuff. It was awesome! I heard last year he fell. There was also this really funny and sarcastic illusionist. I was laughing the whole time during his thing. After two sessions, it was probably 10:30ish, and it was time to go back to the hotel.
First, everybody got assigned rooms. I was with Jessica and Margaret. I changed into some pjs and went down the hall to this get-to-know-you thing, because a lot of people were from our Harison location. Then we went back to our rooms. I played a game with some other girls, and went back to my own room to settle down. That did NOT happen. Hehe. We got so hyper! Jessica needed scissors to cut something (ahbviously), so we went around asking people for scissors. Thes dudes with accents finally were able to help us, but it was a really weird convo. This is esentially what happened:
Us: Hi! Do you have any scissors?
Southern Accent Dudes: Uh, no, but we have a knife. What do you need it for?
Us: To cut something off of Jessica's entrance bracelet. (They were also from CIY)
SAD: I could cut it with a knife? Do you trust me?
Us: Uhhhh....
SAD: Hold on! I'll go get it!
Then they cut the bracelet with a knife an inch from Jess's hand! It was scary. Then every time we saw them in the hall, they asked us if we were having fun. And they asked us if it was ok if they slept in the bathtub. That was weird.
After watching some quality, educational tv (lol), Margo told us that some guys from Harrison ordered pizza from Donato's, so we went around asking who orderrred it. We finally found them, and I honestly think we scared them lol. They said no at first, but then theye agreed to bring us down a slice. We didn't believe them, so we kept our door open so we could listen for when the pizza man came. They eventually came down with a pizza box, but it was filled with Dorito's. Real funny, guys. They thought it was the funniest thing since Tina Fey impersonating Sarah Palin. Hehe. In the end, we probably stayed up until 4-4:30. It was so fun.
The next day was interesting to say the least. I'm still kind of confused. The CIY part was really cool, and we learned more about the book of Jeremiah, and how he was just a kid when God told him to speak His word, and how Jeremiah was scared and didn't want to, but felt a "fire in his bones" when he tried to stop speaking the Truth. It was all very cool. Then there was a lot of drama. Let's just say that me, Jessica, Monty, Caleb, and my brother in a weird way were involved, and I still don't really know what happened. I mean, I did, but I have this tiny voice that's telling me it was all a lie. I don't know who to believe and even if I did, I wouldn't put it on the blog. Lol. It was dramarama, and me and Jess were cracking up half the time, so it was cool.
Today in church we talked about marriage. It was all about comitment and divorce and fidelity and purity and all that. It was weird, because no one in our class will be getting married for a while, so I didn't get the point. It was like teaching toddlers about high school, kind of irrelevant, if you know what I mean. But it was all good. Kevin inadvertantly entertained me as per usual.
Now I'm off to do homework, so good bye, loves!
Happy National Yo Momma Day,
Megan Freakin' Awesome Elizabeth
P.S. Word to the wise: Girls are 75% precent more likely to say yes to you if you ask them out yourselves. It's a proven fact.
P.S.S. Word to the wiser: For you crackheads out there who are dumb enough to believe me, the statistics in the P.S. above are totally false. But they are true for me lol.
P.S.S.S. Who's watching the Oscar's tonight? Me, me, me! Pick me!

Boarder's Book Presentations and AMERICAN IDOL

Tonight I'm going to watch my brother present his book at the Boarder's Cafe. Ah, those were the days! I remember waiting for this day back little elementary school....haha. I wish I could have Mrs.Schneider for just one more year. Oh well, I will see her tonight. The last time I saw her, she gave me a tangerine Altoid. They are so good. They are pretty tart but satisfyingly sweet..wow that is REALLY off topic. Anyways, one to my favorite obsession....
AMERICAN IDOL! Last night's performances were a box of Berty Bot's Every Flavor Beans (Holla, HP! hehe) Some were great, and some were oh so cringe-worthy. But when they were great, man they were great! Performances by Anoop (my favorite so far), Donny, Alexis Faith, Jackie, Tatiana, and Ann Marie were stellar. I did not understand at all why the judges didn't like Ann Marie! She had great range, picked a risky song, and delivered. Donny was sincere and just fabulous. While I do agree this whole "my-wife-died-4-weeks-before-the-audition" thing seems..I don't know..a little unfair, like just because he has a sad history means that everyone likes him, I think he has a great voice. And it's part of his package: great hair, great voice, great personality, hard life. It makes him more appealing to America. Alexis killed her performance of I Never Loved a Man. She showed hreat range and picked a great first song. Jackie worked the stage like a pro and I really enjoyed her unique voice and song choice. And even Tatiana, as much as I HATE saying it, did a great job. Her dress was hideous, but she showed a more sophisticated side and proved that she deserves (and I gag) to be in the Top 36.
However, there were those who fell short of the glory of Simon. Among them were Stevie Wright, Steven, Michael Sarver, and Casey Carlson. I love Stevie, but the low notes were way to low for her and she was simply too pitchy. Steven chose a horrible song and performed it even worse. From the beginning, when his snap/arm waving things were off beat, I knew I was in for a bumpy ride. I think Michael is a great guy and cute too, but I was bored with his performance. His voice isn't memorable, no matter what his face looks like. Casey Carlson...I have no words. Except bad.
Tonight's results will be very interesting. I think that Danny will get the top male votes and Alexis Faith will get the top feamle votes. Anoop will get the next highest vote count. I hope Jackie will make it through in the Wild Card round!
Now I have to go. Be sure to watch AI tonight and comment!
-Megan
P.S. Don't forget to vote for Anoop!!!!!!

Valentine Verses

Here are some V-Day quotes, verses, and poems. Enjoy!
"I don't understand why Cupid was chosen to represent Valentine's Day. When I think of romance, the last thing on my mind is a dhort, chubby toddler coming at me with a weapon."
-Author Unknown

"Without love, what are we worth? 89 cents! 89 cents worth of chemicas walking around being lonely."
-M*A*S*H, Hawkeye

(MOST AMAZING AND POMANTIC SONG EVER)
called you for the first time yesterday
finally found the missing part of me
felt so close but you were far away
left me without anything to say
now im speechless
over the edge, im just breathless
i never thought that i'de catch this love bug again
hopeless, head over heels in the moment
i never thought that i'de get hit by this love bug again
i cant get your smile out of my mind
i think about your eyes all the time
you're beautiful but you don't even try
modesty is just so hard to find
i kissed her for the first time yesterday
everything i wished that it would be
suddenly i forgot how to speak
hopeless, breathless
baby, cant you see?
-Lovebug, Jonas Brothers

Hope y'all liked it! I couldn't find anymore because they were all mega cheesy hehe.
-Megan
P.S. for the guys: if you like somebody, just tell them. if they are nice, they won't make fun of you if they don't like you. think of some romantic way to tell them other than "uh will you be my girlfriend..." chocolate and flowers are not overrated!

VALENTINE'S DAY!!! (scandalous!!)

Ugh. Swimming is terrible. We have to do this weird kick flip whip leg thing. It's not a competional (or whatever) stroke. I like a dying spider in the water. Mr.Cloth told this one guy that he looked like a dying chicken having an epileptic seizure. It was so funny. Cloth rox my sox!! But I still hate swimming. Except I'm good at the front crawl/free style.
My mother just might be trying to ruin my life. She expects me to come right home from 6 hours of hard work and just get right on all of my chores and homework. Ugh!
So me and Catrina got a C on a project that we worked really hard on. We're doing a redo but I'm really disapointed..hopefully this won't bring my B to a C...and I'm already not doing that great in the class anyway. It blows. But whatever.
Tonight Stephen is coming over for din din. I'm excited because my mom is making pork chops, cinommon apples, green beans, french bread and butter, and strawberry shortcake. Yum! That's like my favorite dinner.
Today was the holiday of love, Valentine's Day! It was so fun! I gave Yo Gabba Gabba valentines to all my friends, and ate candy all day. It was pretty sweet. Amani ate like all my candy lol!
Lauren is about to be over here so we can jump, so I got to go! Have a great long weekend and HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!!
Love,
Megan
Quote of the Day: "This would be way funner of I had me a boyfriend...."

american idol: top 36

I just finished watching American Idol (ah, the magic of DVR). Who will win? ANOOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE Anoop. He is Inian, hot, and a great vocalist. He will be off the first round? Tatiana. HATE her. I can't stand another round of her manic laugh or her begging and sobbing. Why did Paula give her her ring?? That was so random. Who should have gotten through? JAMAR!!!!! I was so mad!!! I loved him, and Danny (LOVE LOVE LOVE him, might win) needs him! He also had a cool look. Overall, I was happy wit hthe results.
Norman Gentle/Nick needs a paragraph all to himself. He is just so spastic. His first audition was wacky wild...I was shocked when he got through but was glad because he was freakin' hilarious. Then I thought he would be eliminated the first round in Hollywood, but not so. He was even funnier when he had the stage to himself (SEACREST!). Hehe. I was glad he decided to done his alter ego once again. Then he shocked EVERYONE by making it through to the top 36. I think Simon or Ryan has a crush on him lol. But that would such fr me because it would ruin my plans of marrying both of them if they were gay...lol. I am anxious to see what happens when they give Norman/Nick a whole screen to fill on live television (-:. Can't wait for next week!!
HEart,
megan

Random

I just got a text from 600-6155. Is that any of you? If it is, Sorry I can't text back because I went over my limit lol.
So yesterday was Jr.High. We are doing a "relationship class" for two weeks. It is so beyond pointless. We read The Missing Piece and the Big O by Shel Silversteen. It was stupid but also funny. Me, Lauren, Jessica, Gabby, and Heather were just cracking up. Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you! Lauren finally came to church with me!! Lol. She's coming next week too. She def needs some relationship counciling (lol jk) especially if she went out with Brent, back when he had flab in a place where men shouldn't. LOL.
I think I passed the quest! (quest=quiz+test+Mrs.Penell trying to be funny) And not just pass, but actual an A!! I am so happy.
The new "Dancing" list is out! (Dancing with the Stars) There are so many cool people and HOT guys. Cool People:SHAWN JOHNSON!!!! (im just a little excited lol), Jewel, Lil' Kim, Chuck Wicks, Gilles Marini
Weirdies:Steve Wozniak (a.k.a. The Woz no comment), Ty Murray, Steve-O (funny stunts though)
I think Nancy O'Dell will be bad.
Yay my mom just told me that I now have unlimited text!!! YAY!!!!!! I g2g because my mom needs the comp but I will post again soon!

Algebra, Friends, and New Must-See Website!

Hey! I am about to turn over a new leaf in Algebra. Studying every night, doing extra credit, FINALLY getting A's...that's my plan! Hopefully I can stick to it!
Today I went over to my friend Catrina's house to work on a project for Algebra. It was so fun! Catrina is awesome lol. Then when I came over I went to Lauren's house and hung out with her and her two friends. We played some game with an autistic rabbit that pounded other autistic rabbits with weenies lol! (that's an ij) It was insane (-;
ATTENTION PLEASE!!!!! My two friends (a.k.a Bleu and Berry) have created a must-see blog! It is totally awesome. If you come to my blog, then you absoluterly must go to theirs. It is s ocool, and included great features like Pac-Man, voting, and nature pics lol.
Okay I must make an open apology here: I am sorry, Mary. I really am sorry. But the way that I heard them described...it was hard not to think that. Please accept my apology! Love ya, girly.
-Megeepoo (lol)
p.s. omg I almost forgot to tell you the web address of their blog!! It's: confessionsofdumbanddumber.blogspot.com. Lol! Leave many comments there, they love it! And make sure to tell all of your friends!!!!!

Kicked out and Snow Day

Hello! Just to update you, I have officially kicked Lauren off of the blog. She couldn't decide whether she wanted to stay on or not, so I made the choice for her. This won't impact you much, though, since she didn't blog anyways.
Omigosh I can't believe we have another snow day! Northwest doesn't though (hehe). But wait! I just got an update! Northwest does in fact have a snow day. Well I got to go, but enjoy your 5th snow day in 2 weeks!

Superbowl Sunday!

Heeeeeyy ya! (do do do do do) Heeeeeyy yaaaa! 10 points to whoever knows what song thats from! So today I'm going to a party at the O'Conner's house! I'm pumped becasue I get to see Emma and maybe Amanda. I think the Bennet's, Hudson's, Howard's, Taylor's, and maybe the Burton's are coming. There might be more but I don't know. I want the Cards to win!!!!! Boo Stealers. Their name says it all, the cheaters.
We are having a PSIish thing in Jr.High. It is so beyond retarded!!! Kevin's like, "Do you have any questions?" I'm just like "Um no! And if I did I wouldn't ask you!" Lol.
So now most people know about my mom at church, except the kids. If they do know, they haven't said anything about it.
Stephen is an idiot.
-Megan
P.S. Snow tubing is so awesome! Especially when you spin!
