Right now, I'm working on my history paper about Eleanor of Aquitaine. It's due on Tuesdday, and I have the outline done. I still need to write the actual report and bibliography. Don't worry, I'm a relatively fast repor-writer. I'm going to keep you updated throughout this process, and you can give me feedback on my report. Below you will find the introduction; feel free to add comments or suggestion! Thanks!
Eleanor of Aquitaine was one of the most influential women of medieval times. At different points in her life, she ruled both England and France, prominent countries in Europe then and now. She visited all of the major cities of her time, in a world where travel meant riding horses, sailing, or walking. The Duchess of Aquitaine, Countess of Poitou, Queen of England and France, Eleanor had many formal titles. While few may remember her names, few will forget her vibrant personality, striking looks, and assertive political style; nor should they. Eleanor of Aquitaine is as important in modern times as she was in the past. Even today, women are considered inferior to men in many aspects of life. Examples of strong women from history are needed to remind the world of the things that women have, can, and will do.
