Catch Up

Sorry my posts have been so sparse lately. It's not like I've been busy..the total opposite is true, actually. I am going to start with Lauren's 8th grade graduation.

So Lauren graduated this Thursday!! She looked so pretty! Her dress (which I helped her shop for lol) was a tealish color under a silver floaty material. She wore silver jewelry and had glam prom hair and makeup, done by the wonderful Mrs. Jostworth a.k.a. our down-the-street neighbor. Her shoes were gorg, but also super uncomfortable (silver high heels). I had to get a new dress for the occassion, seeing as my dresses were either too fancy or too casual. I got a cute yellow, green, blue, purple, and green splotchy dress (which Lauren hated; don't worry girl, I wasn't offended) which I had to wear a tank under because it was deep cut in the front and nonexistant in the back. I just wore a simple yellow necklace, tan T-strap sandals, and perfume.

The ceremony was very cute and sentimental. Also a bit cheesy, but hey, it has to be. The chors (all girls, of course) sang For Good from the musical wicked. It was a bit...rough..in places but overall beautiful. I sat next to Kelsey, Lauren's sister, who was nudging me and laughing the whole time, complaining about hom long it was taking. You might think Kelsey was, oh, I don't know, in 2nd grade, about. But no, Kelsey just graduated from highschool yesterday (You go, girl!!! You better be planning on telling me all about it! And you better have some pics of the dress!!) Lauren gave a speech since she was the salutatorian (the second highest grade-point average in her class) and it was really good. Well written and well delivered. Hers was the first speech, and there were many. The only part that was awful was, because it was a Catholic mass, communion. Since I'm not Catholic, I just had to sit in the pew with people climbing all over me. I wanted to shoot myseslf. Ah well, it wasn't all that bad and it's over now!

After the ceremony, Kelsey, their grandma, and their aunt Gabby, and I all went to Putz's. That might sound weird but keep in mind I know all of Lauren's family for the most part and they know me. So that was fun. And delish.

So I finally went to physical therapy with my mom. I went because everyone that comes to our house on Sunday nights (Stephen, Ron, Amanda, Margaret, and sometimes Megan) always talk about him. Some think he's gay, some things he's the best thing since Bare Minerals, but everyone except my dad agrees that he is definate eye candy. You guys know how I am, so I had to go scope out this guy for myself. I have come to decide that Nick the physical therapist in most definately not gay. But he IS pretty cute. He loved me, of course. And also commented on how similar my mom and I look/act. Also, there is another therapist who is about 23 named Rob. All I will say is that I am coming back next time.

Tonight, we are going to te drive-in to see Night at the Museum 2 and Star Trek with the Burtons. How I love Captain Kirk a.k.a. Captain Sexy Beast!! (hehe, Margo, Amanda, and Megan)

My mom is having some lady come over to cut her hair, so I gotta go spruce up a little. My hair looks like crap and she'll be over in 15 minutes. Oh well.

You know you love me,
Megan Elizabeth

  1. My brother's graduating, but you probably don't care. Oh well. I hope you enjoy the movies. My friend Mara (I think I'm starting to fall for her, but nothing quite like that yet) loves Captain Kirk...I think. Whoever has the Russian accent. Yeah...

  2. The Russian would be Pavel Checkov. I probably butchered that spelling. Is your brother graduating from 8th grade or HS? And tell me more about this Mara girl!
