Cleanin' His Gun

Ah, don't you just love country music? No? Well, neither do I. Most of the time. I have, however, found a few songs that I like, one being "Cleaning His Gun". It's about a girl's first date and what her dad said. I kind of imagine my dad being the same way. The song goes a lil' sumthin like this:

Come on in, boy
Sit on down
And tell me 'bout yourself
Well, you like my daughter
Do you now?
Yeah, we think she's somethin' else
She's her daddy's girl
Her momma's world
She deserves respect
That's what she'll get
Ain't it son?
Hey, y'all run along and have some fun
Bet I'll be up all night
Still cleanin' this gun

Well now I'm a father
I'm scared to death one day my daughter
Is gonna find
That teenage boy I used to be
That seems to have one thing on his mind

She's growin up so fast
It won't be long before
I'll have to put the fear of God
Into some kid at the door

Son, now y'all buckle up and have her back by te- let's say about nine...thirty. Drive safe.

I absolutely love this song! I can just see my dad doing this. For that matter, I can also see Ronnie and Stephen doing this. I wouldn't probably be embarassed, just cracking up. Lol. Just thought I'de share these lyrics with you at 12:11. No sir, not in the afternoon. I'm tired. Goodnight!
You know you love me,
Megan Elizabeth
P.S. More on my day tomarrow.
